Director of Nyaka School Updates Rotarians

August 18, 2013 by Tim Ernst Leave a Comment

Springfield Rotary Club was pleased to welcome Barbara Kroberger, Director for the Nyaka School, who shared with the Club her recent travels to Uganda to an AIDS Orphanage. The Springfield Rotary Club donated enough funds to build a home, latrine, and kitchen hut for a grandmother. In Africa, an entire generation has been wiped out due to AIDS, leaving grandmothers to care for a generation of children. Ms. Kroberger and others were able to raise $30,000 to build 10 new homes for the grandmother. The Nyaka School also supports primary schools and medical clinics for the community’s they service.
