Interact

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young adults from the ages 14 to 18. Interact gives young adults an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects. Interact clubs perform atleast two projects a year, with one serving the community and the other furthering international understanding. Along the way interactors develop their leadership skills and initiative while meeting new friends.

Goals of interact:

• Recognize and develop constructive leadership and personal integrity.
• Encourage and practice thoughtfulness and helpfulness to others.
• Create an awareness of the importance of home and family
• Build respect for the rights of others based on recognition of the worth of each individual.
• Emphasize acceptance of individual responsibility as the basis of personal success, community improvement and group achievement.
• Recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve society.
• Provide opportunities for gaining increased knowledge and understanding of community, national and world affairs.
• Open avenues of personal and group action leading to the advancement of international understanding and goodwill toward all people.

Springfield Rotary supports two interact clubs, Springfield High School Interact Club and Philmont Christian Interact Club.
