Golf Greats Honored with Annual Gene Gisburne Memorial Award

The Rotary Club of Springfield Township yearly honors students that stand out as extraordinary sportsman in the field of Golf and athletics. The Gene Gisburne Memorial Award was named after a Past President of Rotary who passed away suddenly. His family and the Club honor his memory by giving the award in his name for a sport he was fond of. This award has become a cherished and sought after accomplishment for many students.

2011 Springfield Township Rotary Gisbourne Golf Awards

The Springfield Township Rotary Club was proud to present the Gene Gisbourne Golf Awards to students from our local high schools on May 31, 2011. This award named after a past member and past president who loved to play golf has been given annually for the past two decades. Springfield High School: Dan Lane, Awardee; Al Corolla, Coach and Rev. Jack Norrie, Springfield Rotary Club President. La Salle College High School: C.J. Dunn, Awardee; Marty Jackson, Coach and Rev. Jack Norrie, Springfield Rotary Club President. Mt Saint Joseph’s Academy: Alise McNutt and Rev. Jack Norrie, Springfield Rotary Club President.

We are eagerly seeking new members. If you are community minded, live or work near Springfield Township, and have a soft spot for fellowship, charity and enlightenment, why not contact us and ask about joining.
