Stenton Family Manor is a homeless shelter geared toward helping homeless families reestablish themselves. It is located at 1300 E. Tulpehocken Street Philadelphia, PA 19138.

In the month of March 2021, the Rotary Club of Springfield Township will be collecting funds and running a toiletry and linen drive. The following are now be accepted:

Remainder of Annual Fruit Sale is Canceled

For close to 40 years our Rotary Club has been offering fresh Florida Fruit from November to March. Unfortunately, the remainder of this year’s Fruit Sale, both the February and March sales are canceled, as the supplier could NOT get us enough fresh, properly ripened fruit. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Claudia Campbell, Rotarian, Shares Her Children’s Book with Guests of the Chestnut Hill Library

Claudia Campbell, author, shares her book, Whoever Heard of Such a Thing, with Nataliya Turchyn and her daughter Emilia, as Lynne Hasse, Children’s Librarian looks on.

Claudia Campbell, a Rotary member and Flourtown resident and local business owner, is the author of a recently published children’s book. On a bright, early spring day, Claudia Campbell read her new book, Whoever Heard of Such a Thing at the Chestnut Hill Library. Claudia’s book is a whimsical romp through the world of the imagination. The book stands in contrast to Claudia’s business – Tabitha Harrier Concierge, which is focused on efficiency and results and far from whimsical. The writing and publishing of the book is a story in itself. More than twenty years ago, Claudia and her sister whiled away school vacation hours writing and illustrating a gentle tale of imagination. The book, crayon drawings and paste‑on letters in its original form, languished in a box in an attic for some twenty years. Three years ago, Claudia shared the story of the book’s creation with a computer‑savvy friend who scanned the original text and drawings to a computer file. Another of Claudia’s friends, a graphic artist, readied the book for publication in both electronic and hard copy form. Claudia’s book is a delightful look at imaginings that invite discussion between parent or grandparent and young children. The book is especially fun as a read‑aloud book for young children. Claudia’s book and her interest in encouraging children’s literacy is consistent with her membership in Springfield Township Rotary Club. Rotary’s goals include special focus on promoting children’s literacy both in the United States and internationally. Springfield Rotary Announces Fruit Sale Prices for 2013-2014

The Rotary Club of Springfield Township is once again to provide the community with citrus delivered fresh, directly from Florida. This annual event is anticipated by our many patrons and is a major fund-raiser for the club so it can continue its service locally, regionally and internationally, wherever there is a need.

Rotary Fresh Citrus Sale 2011 – 2012

The Rotary Club of Springfield Township hosts a monthly fruit sale from November to March each year. The fresh citrus comes directly from a Florida fruit orchard. The Rotarians with the aid of some students from Carson Valley Children’s Aid unload the fruit into Flourtown Fire Company’s firehouse for our loyal customers to pick up on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

2011-2012 FRUIT SALE

Our next sale will be Friday, December 16 and Saturday, December 17. We will need your order no later than Sunday, December 11.

Springfield Rotary supports its many community and international projects by selling oranges and grapefruits, delivered to Flourtown direct from Florida. Our fruit is picked fresh just a few days before each sale.

In November and December we sell Navel Oranges and Ruby Red Grapefruit. In January, Heavenly Honey Bells and Ruby Red Grapefruit are sold, and in February and March Temple Oranges and Ruby Red Grapefruits are sold.

Heavenly Honeybells: get ready for a treat! Exceptionally sweet, unbelievably juicy! They are available only in January – but worth the wait! Order now for our highly anticipated Honeybell Oranges. These exceptionally juicy, mouth-watering fruit are a really special treat. The flavor is sweet and really unique.

Honeybells are large bell shaped hybrids that are a cross between the super sweet Duncan Grapefruit and the delicately flavored Dancy Tangerine. They’re called “honeybells” because of their honey-sweet flavor and unique bell shape. They’re easy to peel, or can be sliced, and are usually seedless.

This citrus delicacy is a rare pleasure – they are the most difficult variety of orange to grow and harvest and are in short supply. They are available ONLY in January, so order now for both you and for friends.
